13 Rooms From A Historic Lake Forest Home Redesign

THE PORCH

A sofa and club chair by Donghia lend a casual sensibility to the porch, part of the home’s new extension.
The ceramic coffee table from Mecox Gardens injects a playful detail to the space.

UGLY! No color, no contrast, no art! Cold and uninviting!

Should have finished the Crown around the hall. Looks unfinished.

There are some expensive new things in this house;but they are just that; expensive. Someone does not know what they are doing.

I'm experienced at remodeling homes so it's clear why the crown stops where it does. Overall, I think it's a beautiful job. Anyone would be lucky to call it home!

Where does one begin. Fabulous decorating ideas. A few of my personal favorites. The dark chocolate rug porch area and colors used. I loved the library woods and two comfy chairs. I thought the kitchen was a tad too white. I am not a designer but would have loved to see a little more of the sage or celery green above the stove used to off set. Fabulous job in the kitchen with the extension from tthe ceiling with the cupboards. And last but certainly not least excellent paver walkway to the pool. The layout effect with the placement of the pavers to allow the green grass pattern to show through. Beautiful home/estate. And I will second a prior comment that anyone would be lucky indeed to claim this as their home.
