hot spot: history repeating.

Now that the premiere season of one of our favorite guilty pleasures—Million Dollar Decorators—has come to an end, we’re feeling a little out of sorts. Luckily, though, we can still tap into our favorite part of the show without the DVR: the interiors. This West Hollywood living room by the cutely accented Martyn Lawrence Bullard didn’t air on Bravo, but it did get the Luxe treatment in a recent issue, and we’re still crazy about the muted golden hues and playful mix of patterns. From the 17th-century tapestry that works as a backdrop to the 16th-century convex mirror and the French vintage sofa, the space is a melting pot of cultures and eras gone by, which Bullard pulls off without a hitch. “It’s like the grand tour, where English gentlemen travel the world after graduation, collecting objects from each place,” he says. “I didn’t stick to one particular theme or period. Infusing fresh ideas is what gives it life!”
