hot spot: hen house.

PHOTOGRAPHY BY KEN HAYDEN

What came first: the chicken or the chair? That is the question that immediately hatched in my mind when I first spotted this Miami, Florida, dining room by Robert Sidney Brown and Todd Dyer Davis of Brown Davis Interiors. All jokes aside though, what I love most about this off-the-wall dining room is its personality; it has an unapologetically flamboyant flair that’s hard to ignore. Sure, the chrome Milo Baughman dining chairs covered in Mongolian lambskin, yolk-inspired painting by Iran Issa-Khan and gilded 1960s brass table aren’t for the faint of heart, but the quirky Florida space certainly accomplishes one thing over any other: It makes you smile, whatever the reason. Kind of gives a new meaning to farm-to-table dining, huh?
