Style Scout: Monograms
August 06, 2013
Modern-day monograms can be very chic, as it marries both traditional and contemporary styles. The above circle-block style monogramed rug caught our eye, and we got to looking around for some other luxury items to add that personalized touch, which can often be overlooked. Unlike other design trends monograms have staying power and continue to pop up in contemporary design. Other than the obvious LV’s and F’s in your closet, we love the idea of creating beautiful items using your own discreet initials. Be careful not to overdo it though, the monogram itself must be tasteful. A good rule for choosing fonts is to only use curvy script on stationary, bedding and towels. Block letters are more appropriate for larger, out in the open items.
