Amy Lau For Kyle Bunting
August 06, 2012
I am a huge fan of Kyle Bunting's rugs and cowhide leather upholstery, so when I heard about his collaboration with interior designer and cofounder of Design Miami fair, Amy Lau, I needed to see the collection right away. Amy was ecstatic when their idea to cooperate during the Kips Bay 2011 showhouse finally came to fruition last week at the Sebastian + Barquet gallery in Southampton, NY. [Photo via]
"For my new collection in collaboration with Kyle Bunting, I took inspiration from the iconic Italian architect, Gio Ponti. I was inspired by Ponti's use of optical illusion for the floor tile he created, which allowed the viewers to observe various spatial experiences through color and geometry as they moved through the hotel." The three initial designs are flaunt, flow and flash, and because they are my obsession this week I would argue that each are fun, fabulous and fashionable!
