Marni’s exquisite lines are known for their unanticipated use of color, but more unexpected are the faces behind their latest collection of 100 chairs debuted at Milan’s Salone del 2012. The Italian fashion label enlisted ex-prisoners to create these colorful statement pieces—forged from metal and multi-colored PVC threads—woven in a traditional South American style. The eclectic interpretation and unconventional source of craftsmanship are consistent with the legendary brands character as they continue to keep us all guessing. Proceeds from the collection will benefit children of imprisoned women.
