Being from Chicago, there are days when I desperately miss the Windy City for its breathtaking views and sweeping skyline (though, I could do without the freezing winter months). But stumbling upon homes like this chic condo in Chicago’s historic Palmolive Building with its dazzling panorama makes me feel right at home. Skirting the unit on three sides, design maven Steven Kadlec and architect Joe Sperti created a luxury terrace that uses neutral-hued fabrics and graceful furniture to evoke a serene setting. I adore Janus et Cie’s Amalfi furniture for the abundance of roomy seating options it offers and the colorful landscape architecture by Scott Byron & Co. for framing the entire vignette with lush pops of color. Now, if only I could transport this spectacular skyline to South Florida, I’d be set.
